Take a break from dieting

Relax sometimes! It happens to all of us. When we are in the weight-losing-mode, we tend to forget that our body needs a break every now and then. All too often, we push ourselves to the limit to burn those calories and eat miniscule amounts. If you really want to lose weight though, this is not the way to do it.

In fact, doing such things may give you a higher failure rate. If you do not give yourself a break from it all, you are more likely to feel so drained one day that you will want to give up. So what should you do?

Every week at least have 1 or 2 days you are NOT dieting. This does not mean you go out and stuff yourself with KFC because it tastes so good. It means you relax, no strenuous exercising, no tiny meals, no thinking about losing weight. Just have a nice day where you can spoil yourself with food just a little and take a break from it all.

You will still continue to lose weight if you eat healthily and exercise for the other days of the week. I took diet pills (read here) to help me lose weight that just wouldn't budge (helped me take breaks more often than I should!).

By the end of the day, if you are too stressed out losing weight, you will only end up worse. Remember, working out too hard leads to stress, which leads to you eating more and gaining more weight. Then all your efforts would have been wasted!

So if you are one of these people, then STOP. Relax. Take a break for the day. Forget about weight loss and do something fun. You will feel refreshed and ready to give it your best tomorrow!
